Key Features

What FaceSense does

  1. Live face confirmed · IR depth check passed
    01

    Binocular liveness detection

Visible and infrared cameras confirm a real face, rejecting photos, screens and video replays before any match is attempted.

  2. Enrolment approved · Unit 12-08 · 3 residents
    02

    Self-enrolment from the app

Residents enrol with a guided selfie. The managing agent approves once instead of photographing each household at the office.

  3. Offline mode · 214 events queued for upload
    03

    Works when offline

Templates and rules sit on the terminal, so doors keep working through internet outages. Events upload once the link returns.

  4. Contractor · Lobby and Level 3 · 9 am to 6 pm
    04

    Zone and time rules

Limit tenants, helpers and contractors to set areas and hours. Access ends automatically when a lease or pass expires.

  5. Low confidence · QR pass accepted
    05

    Mask-aware matching

Recognises most residents wearing a surgical mask, and falls back to QR or card when confidence is below threshold.

  6. Template deleted · resident moved out
    06

    PDPA-aligned data handling

Consent is recorded at enrolment, raw photos are purged on schedule, and templates are deleted when a resident moves out.

FAQ

Common questions

Does it work with masks or glasses?

Yes for most residents with surgical masks and ordinary glasses. Heavy tinted sunglasses or full face covers lower the score, and the terminal then offers a QR or card fallback.

What happens when the internet goes down?

Matching runs on the terminal against its local template store, so doors keep working. Events are queued and uploaded when the connection returns.

How is resident data protected under the PDPA?

Consent is captured in the app at enrolment. Templates are encrypted in transit and at rest, raw photos are purged after 30 days, and data is deleted when a resident moves out.

Can it replace our existing card readers?

It can sit alongside them. The terminal outputs Wiegand, so an existing access panel can treat a face match like a card read while you phase cards out.

How do domestic helpers and children enrol?

The main account holder adds household members in the app. Each member completes a selfie with liveness, and the managing agent approves the additions.
